As a wedding photographer, I feel honored to capture special memories for couples like Lupe and Rudy. Their beautiful, rustic farm wedding was in autumn, which perfectly matched the warm colors of the venue and the fall foliage. The beauty of rustic elegance is unforgettable, and that is precisely what this wedding is all about.

But their story started not on a farm, but on the water. Charming law enforcement officer Rudy met Lupe through mutual friends at the Huntington Beach Marina, where his father keeps a boat, and the sparks were instant. When it was time to pop the big question, Rudy took Lupe back to this marina – their special place – where they first met. Talk about a swoon-worthy proposal! Working with Lupe and Rudy was an absolute delight. Their chemistry was palpable, and they radiated joy and love throughout the entire process.

Discovering A Farm Wedding Venue

The Farm In Norco is an expansive private paradise, with diverse backgrounds that will take your breath away. It’s not your typical wedding venue – it’s a functioning farm complete with a grand farmhouse (home to the owner and her family), horses, playful dogs, and other exciting opportunities to capture fun and lively wedding photos. It was not my first time taking photographs at The Farm in Norco! As a photographer, I must admit that I always look forward to returning to a familiar venue with a great staff.

The Heartwarming Farmhouse First Look

Before the guests arrived, Lupe and Rudy shared a heartwarming First Look on the porch of the classic farmhouse. The sparkle in their eyes said it all – this was the moment they had been waiting for. Rudy’s contagious laughter had Lupe in giggles, setting the tone for a joyful day filled with love. Having this early First Look allowed us to capture stunning photos of the couple, their wedding party, and their sons before the ceremony commenced.

Rustic Elegance: A Dreamy Farm Wedding

Lupe stunned everyone in her dreamy boho-chic wedding dress from Dreamers and Lovers. Its off-the-shoulder cut, intricate lace details, and sweeping train perfectly embodied the rustic vibes of the day. Rudy, ever the dapper groom, embraced the rustic atmosphere with a sharp navy blue suit that featured a matching bow tie, cowboy boots, and a classic cowboy hat. As an homage to his family, he proudly wore his grandfather’s belt buckle, adorned with a golden cowboy hat design. The bridesmaids complemented the autumn vibes with their non-matching dresses in warm shades of blush, peach, and orange. Rudy’s groomsmen rocked navy suits, but instead of bow ties, they wore neckties in coordinating warm hues. Lupe and Rudy’s sons, being part of their journey, wore navy suits and neckties that matched Rudy’s ensemble.

Capturing Unforgettable Moments

As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing every precious moment of their special day. From Lupe getting her makeup done in the bridal suite to their bubble grand exit, I was there to document it all. Not only did I photograph their wedding day, but I also captured their engagement session at the Huntington Beach Marina earlier in the year. It was an honor to tell their love story through my lens.

Framing Memories

Lupe and Rudy welcomed their guests with a custom-made wooden sign, adding that extra touch of rustic charm. As an alternative guestbook, they opted for small wooden hearts for guests to sign and drop into a heart-shaped frame. This personalized keepsake will hang in the couple’s home and forever remind them of their incredible wedding day and the love surrounding them.

A Celebration of Love and Unity

Lupe and Rudy’s ceremony took place on a grassy island nestled amidst the roundabout driveway of the venue, shaded by majestic trees. The warm autumn colors of the bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly complemented the setting. Rudy proudly escorted his beaming mother, who donned a cowboy hat, down the aisle. As Rudy’s groomsmen, who are also in law enforcement, made their way down the aisle, they distributed beer cans from Rudy’s getting-ready suite to the guests. It was a hilarious moment that had everyone laughing and added a unique touch to the occasion. Lupe made her grand entrance in a magical horse-drawn carriage, filling the air with enchantment. Her father and her son, beaming with pride, escorted her down the aisle, creating a heartwarming scene.

Lupe and Rudy’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their love, but also the joining of two families. In a touching sand-pouring ritual, they invited their sons to take part as well. Each family member poured sand of unique colors into one vessel, symbolizing their unity and love. It was a powerful moment that showcased the depth of their bond.

Capturing Farm Wedding Magic

After the ceremony, we explored the lush property, creating portraits against the charming farmhouse, the iconic water tank welcome sign and tree-lined driveway, and the picturesque pond and bridge behind the farmhouse. Then we ventured on golf carts to the edge of the gorge on the northwest side of the property. In the golden hour light, we captured breathtaking sunset portraits.

The fall theme continued to shine through the reception, with warm autumn colors adorning the linens and centerpiece flowers. These bright tables filled the lush grass lawn just outside the barn. Rudy and Lupe shared their first dance under the autumn sky, creating a moment of pure romance.

Sweet Treats + Happy Feet

And let’s not forget the sweet treats. Alongside the wedding cake, they offered pizookies – warm cookies topped with ice cream. Adding a touch of their heritage, they had a bookshelf stacked with bowls of traditional Mexican candies. Rudy and Lupe’s guests danced the night away, and the energy in the room was infectious. A standout moment was when Rudy placed his cowboy hat on the dancefloor and danced around it in celebration with Lupe’s son. Cheers filled the air, celebrating not only their love but also the beautiful bond of their blended family. As evening settled in, we took to one of the quaint lounge areas set up around the reception site, where we created a magical night portrait of the couple. At the end of the reception, the couple was showered with bubbles, making their grand exit amidst the loving cheers of family and friends.

Lupe and Rudy’s fall farm wedding at The Farm In Norco was an absolute dream. Every detail was infused with love, personality, and a touch of rustic charm. From the sand-pouring ritual to the pizookies, we captured so many distinct, personalized moments that will bring the couple joy for years to come.
