Jennifer & Omer’s Elegant Mansion Wedding Venue Celebration in Ventura County
Jennifer & Omer’s wedding day was the kind of celebration you dream about: full of love, meaningful details, and jaw-dropping beauty. Held in June at the iconic Newhall Mansion in Piru, surrounded by rolling hills and historic charm, this wedding brought together elegant design and rich cultural traditions. It also included some of the sweetest moments I’ve had the honor of capturing. As a Southern California wedding photographer, I absolutely loved working with these two. They were joyful, present, and completely focused on celebrating their day with the people who matter most. Newhall Mansion is a one-of-a-kind mansion wedding venue, and Jennifer & Omer brought it to life with their vision.
A Mansion Wedding Venue Steeped in Character
Nestled in Ventura County, Newhall is a mansion wedding venue unlike any other. With its Victorian architecture, stained glass windows, and castle-like turret, it feels like stepping into another world. Jennifer wore a glamorous mermaid gown that hugged her silhouette beautifully. The fitted design added elegance and highlighted the intricate details. The gown featured shimmering lace, floral appliqués, and a dramatic tulle train that trailed gracefully behind her. Her crystal headpiece and floor-length lace-trimmed veil added even more romance. Omer looked timeless in a sharp black tuxedo with a white rose boutonniere to match his bride’s bouquet. Before the ceremony, Jennifer & Omer shared a private First Look and exchanged personal vows. It was one of the most emotional moments of the day and such a privilege to witness.
The bridesmaids wore sage green satin dresses that echoed the soft greenery in the florals and the lush garden setting, while the groomsmen kept things classic in black suits and white ties. The whole look was cohesive, elegant, and relaxed. It was perfect for a summer wedding in a historic estate.
Lush Florals and Thoughtful Touches
Their wedding decor blended modern elegance with vintage charm. The welcome table featured a custom globe guestbook, a typewriter, a framed engagement photo, and soft ivory blooms. Guests loved signing the globe and reading the couple’s love story in the guestbook. The vintage pieces and personal photos created a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflected Jennifer & Omer’s thoughtful and sentimental personalities. Their outdoor ceremony was framed by a circular floral arch bursting with white and blush roses, and a petal-strewn aisle led the way to “I do.”
For the reception, taupe linens and gold chargers set a luxurious tone. Guests were welcomed into a glowing garden setting filled with candlelight, soft music, and the gentle buzz of heartfelt conversation. Each table had romantic candlelight and lush floral centerpieces, creating a warm, intimate glow that had guests pausing to take it all in. The sweetheart table, nestled under a second floral arch, was pure garden romance.
Preserving This Magic June Day
As their wedding photographer, I captured portraits throughout the mansion’s rich interiors, on the grand staircase, and under the trees on the lawn. After dinner, we sneaked away for golden hour portraits in front of the mansion, where the light hit just right and cast a dreamy golden glow across the ivy-covered stone. The atmosphere felt calm and romantic, one of those effortlessly cinematic moments where everything aligned perfectly. Every location glowed.
Jennifer & Omer shared that their biggest priority was enjoying the celebration with their loved ones. “We really just wanted to be present and soak in every moment with our family and friends,” Jennifer said. I helped them structure their timeline to maximize both time with guests and time in the most beautiful light. From getting ready to open dancing, their day unfolded seamlessly, allowing them to stay relaxed, soak in each moment, and be fully present with the people they love.
