A Family’s Oceanside Outdoor Maternity Session | San Diego, CA
Is there anything more wonderful than capturing the love and joy of a growing family? As a photographer who adores documenting couples, engagements, and weddings, I also find immense joy in capturing the beauty of family portraits. It’s an incredible way to showcase the continuation of a couple’s story and their journey, while also showcasing the love they share through the family they raise. Maternity sessions embody the anticipation and warmth of a family eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newest addition. Today, I’m thrilled to share my experience capturing this family’s outdoor maternity session in Del Mar, San Diego.
I met up with this incredible family at one of their favorite parks near the beach just before the statewide COVID shutdown in March. What made things even more special was the inclusion of their firstborn daughter, Regan, making this outdoor maternity session an authentic celebration of their entire family.
With the blue ocean as our backdrop, we captured portraits that showcased the glowing mother, her with her partner, and the complete family unit. It was great to witness how eagerly little Regan participated in this special moment, her excitement mirroring her parents’. I was so happy to be a part of this family’s beautiful outdoor maternity session overlooking the ocean. I can’t wait to see their family grow and capture more moments and memories for them.
