Myriah + Steve | Bright and Vibrant Nature Maternity Photos in Fallbrook

Nature has an incredible way of showcasing the beauty and serenity that radiates from the heart. When I had the pleasure of being the second photographer for Myriah and Steve’s wedding day at Galway Downs by Wedgewood Weddings, little did I know that I would witness the magic of their love once again during their nature maternity session. Together, we explored the trails of Santa Margarita Nature Reserve in Fallbrook,  capturing the anticipation of welcoming their first child through bright and ethereal portraits.

From “I Do” to “We’re Expecting”

There’s something so special about documenting the moments of a growing family. As a photographer, it’s a privilege to witness the love and joy that comes when couples start on the journey to parenthood. I was present at their Temecula wedding, capturing those special moments for them. When Myriah and Steve approached me to capture their maternity photos, I was so excited to preserve memories for them once again. I knew that this session at Santa Margarita Nature Reserve would be beautiful and fun.

A Bright and Ethereal Setting

Santa Margarita Nature Reserve, with its lush greenery and tranquil ambiance, set the stage for a memorable session. It made the perfect backdrop for Myriah and Steve’s maternity photos. The sunlight filtered through the tree branches, casting a warm glow on the expecting couple. In their photos, Myriah and Steve held each other close, their smiles contagious and their connection undeniable.

Stepping Into Parents’ Shoes

With each camera, I saw the anticipation and love radiating from Myriah and Steve. Their smiles and joy were infectious! They even incorporated a personal touch! On their wedding day, they wore matching Converse shoes for their reception. Today, as expecting parents, they both sported Converse shoes again, and they even brought along a pair of teeny shoes for the baby! I remember taking a picture of their feet with the baby shoes between them. After I snapped it, I asked Steve, “You were smiling, right?” He earnestly nodded yes — it took him a second to realize that I was kidding about him needing to smile in a picture of his feet! They also included other fun elements, like their sonogram photo and some cute onesies. Their excitement about becoming parents was delightful to be around, and it made taking these nature maternity photos so much fun!
