As a San Diego wedding photographer, I know that there’s nothing more breathtaking than capturing love in this iconic location. Sunset Cliffs engagement photos are a dream come true for many couples. I’ve had the privilege to capture marriage proposals on these rocks. With its spectacular cliffs and stunning ocean views, there’s no denying the romance and splendor of this famous locale. That’s why I was thrilled to work with Alexis and Alfredo, a special couple who radiates warmth and authenticity, in this spectacular spot.

From Clothing Campaign to Love Story

I first met Alexis when she reached out to me needing a photographer for a clothing brand campaign. As we got to know each other during that session, the conversation turned to her long-time boyfriend, Alfredo. I mentioned my passion for photographing couples, and it was then that we decided to capture their love in an engagement session. As a military man, Alfredo would soon embark on a deployment, making it even more important to capture these special moments before he left. We chose Sunset Cliffs as the perfect place to celebrate their love.

Just before Alfredo’s deployment, we set out on an adventure at the renowned site to capture their Sunset Cliffs engagement photos. Despite the lack of sun that day, we were blessed with the warmth and connection between Alexis and Alfredo. It was clear that they shared a special bond, and it shone through in every photo. As their San Diego engagement photographer, I aimed to capture not only the beauty of the location but, more importantly, the real love between these two incredible people.

After the session, Alexis shared, “At times, I completely forgot there was a camera and just felt so happy being with him.” That’s exactly what I want to achieve. It’s all about cherishing those authentic moments and preserving them through photography.

Capturing genuine moments of love and pure happiness is my greatest privilege. I don’t want to just create pretty pictures. I want to capture the story behind a couple and the real moments that make them special. Every couple is unique, with their own way of showing love. My goal is to capture that love so they can treasure it for years to come. By delivering these images before Alfredo’s deployment, we created tangible keepsakes to remind them of their love during their time apart.
